Preparations are underway for EUSA’s main anniversary event of the year – the EUSA Conference, extraordinary General Assembly and Gala.

The biannual conference, extraordinary General Assembly and special Gala will take place in Aveiro, Portugal, the host city of the very first European Universities Championships event (Basketball) in 2001.

Adding to the importance of this event is the 20th anniversary celebrations of EUSA, which was establish in 1999 in Austria’s capital, Vienna.

The EUSA events, which will take place from September 25-28, will be hosted by the Portuguese University Sports Federation (FADU) and the University of Aveiro, in cooperation with the Academic Association of the University of Aveiro.

The EUSA Conference and General Assembly will take place at the University of Aveiro Rectorate. while the Gala Awards – recognising winners and special contributions to European University Sport over the past year – will take place at Teatro Aveirense.



The preliminary schedule of events are as follows:

- September 25, Wednesday: Arrivals of EC Members in the morning and NUSA delegates in the afternoon  
- September 26, Thursday: Conference
- September 27, Friday: General Assembly, Gala
- September 28, Saturday: Departures

Registrations will be taken via EUSA’s Internal Area, and are open from June 28 to August 27, 2019.
